What could be more fitting than practicing gratitude on Thanksgiving weekend? Join Badgerdog teaching artist Tracey Lander-Garrett in exploring poetry that expresses an appreciation for life, nature, and beauty, as well as a personal gratitude for friendship, family, and more. Our discussion will engage with balancing the benefits and challenges of finding gratitude. atCentral: Mélat (Live Musical Performance)

Alternative-R&B singer Mélat released her sixth studio album Move Me II: The Present earlier this year to rave reviews. Born and raised in the Austin area, Mélat inherited a transcontinental worldview from her parents, who emigrated from Ethiopia in the 1980s. Mélat will perform a free show for audiences in the library.
