at Central: Our Native Sea with Jack E. Davis & Juli Berwald

Pulitzer prize winner Jack E. Davis, professor of environmental history at the University of Florida, will discuss his second book THE GULF: THE MAKING OF AN AMERICAN SEA with Juli Berwald, author of SPINELESS (all about jellyfish). Davis will read from THE GULF and talk with Berwald about the history of that giant body of water we share with Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida; climate and cultural changes connected to the Gulf of Mexico; and our relationship to the waters we rely on for recreation, commerce, and sustenance. BookPeople will sell copies of both authors’ books, and both authors will be available to sign books after the event. THIS EVENT IS FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
