The Teen Library Fellows cohort hasn’t just been busy—they’re creating, publishing, and leading.
This spring, the 10-member cohort unveiled Mind & Matter, a teen-driven magazine packed with original writing, bold opinions, news, art, and photography from peers across Austin. The first two issues are already in circulation at every Austin Public Library branch.
Want to read it now? You can find it here:

The Fellows also took to the mic with the launch of APL Volumes: Teen Voices Edition. Hosted by Teen Fellow Frank Hobbs, the debut episode features a thoughtful conversation with Zell Miller III, Austin’s inaugural Poet Laureate.

Made possible by The Library Foundation, these paid fellowships empower teens to shape library services, explore career paths, and raise their voices around issues that matter to them—and their communities.
