Save the Books Social

A network of Texas teens supporting the freedom to read

Sign-up to connect with Save the Books Social!

We're so happy you're interested in our network of Texas teens who are taking a stand to "save the books!" and support the freedom to read across Texas.

Save the Books Socials are monthly meetups facilitated by the Austin Public Library with the support of the Library Foundation, Children's Defense Fund, BookPeople, Students Engaged in Advancing Texas and other organizations who care about keeping books un-banned.

Save the Books Socials are held virtually once a month.  Sign-up to receive information about upcoming meetups and network with other teen advocate. We'll also meet experts (both teens and adult) who can help you get involved in a way that makes sense for you, and be involved in the community of teens who care about making sure books stay un-banned.

The next Save the Books Social meetups are April 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m and May 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

If you have questions, please reach out to Teen Librarian Kathleen at library.austintexas.gov/ask
