In line with our vision of equity, inclusion, access, and diversity, The Library Foundation established the Wade Martin Scholarship Fund to help aspiring writers who would otherwise not have access to a writing education. This memorial scholarship is inspired by the spirit of Wade Martin, a prominent member of the Austin poetry community who believed everyone should have access to writing and the arts.
A frequent Badgerdog Teaching Artist, Martin believed, above all, that access to arts and writing education was valuable to the human experience and should be made accessible to all.
This year, thanks to generous supporters, The Library Foundation awarded $3,000 in scholarships to help students attend Badgerdog Creative Writing Summer Camps.
Your support helps provide more scholarships each year, giving more students the chance to experience the magic of Badgerdog camps and discover their creative voices. Every gift makes a difference!
